What is a Life Coach?

A Life Coach is a trained professional who supports and guides their clients to maximise their potential both personally and professionally. A Life Coach will help the client to identify their goals and then support them to achieve those goals. 

A Life Coach is different to a therapist/ counsellor in that they don’t focus so much on things that have happened in the past, but instead focus towards the future. They do not give advice or tell their clients what they need to do. A Life Coach will instead help and guide their clients to look within themselves to find the solutions.

Coaches use powerful questioning and strategies to help the client understand what they need to do to remove the blockers which are currently preventing them from achieving their desired outcomes.

What Life Coaching IS.

  • Maximising your potential. Either personally, professionally or both.
  • Client driven. You are the leader of your own life. Only you know what is best for you and only you can manage change.
  • Always moving forward. We look at your goals, your values and your beliefs. We don’t want to stay in the past. We want to look at the future!

What Life Coaching IS NOT.

  • Life Coaching is not a substitute for counselling/ therapy if you have underlying trauma or are looking for help with mental health. If you are unsure which is better suited for you I always recommend speaking with your doctor.
  • Life Coaching is not telling you what to do. You have all the resources you need within yourself to achieve your goals. We are here to support and guide you through the process.
  • Life Coaching is not giving you advice. You are your own person. To truly create motivation you need the next steps to have come from you.

  • They are like a supportive friend and a trusted adviser rolled into one. They’re someone who will push you to identify your goals, hold you accountable and provide encouragement throughout your journey to become a better version of yourself.

What is the Life Coaching Process?

  • In a safe and friendly environment, the coach helps to identify the clients focus for the session and use powerful questioning to really dig deep on the underlying issues.
  • The coach uses tools and strategies to support the client on removing the blocks and limiting beliefs.
  • It is important to put action steps in place and accountability for the clients next steps.
  • The coach is here to support the client. The session is about them and the coach will help guide where the client wants to go.

Not sure if Coaching is for you?

A final note from Georgina

Do you ever feel like you watch people achieve things or, in your eyes become successful and you’re thinking “How can I be like that?” . So you read, listen to and watch all the ‘self-help’ resources you can find, but again you get stuck on taking that action.

Don’t worry, I was exactly the same! I would see so many successful people out there who ‘always’ had that personality where they would just strive towards anything and everything, started ‘hustling’ from an early age, never slept because they were working so hard on a new idea, and were always thinking of their next step and what to achieve next.

I want you to know that was not me! As a teenager I was scared to even call up a restaurant to book a meal, let alone be able to talk to people about starting my own business…

What I’m trying to say is if you’re that person who truly wants to be the best version of themselves, achieve what they want, wake up feeling excited and happy every morning but has no idea where to start or doesn’t think they have that ‘doer’ personality or confidence, then you’ve come to the right place!

I want to let you know it IS achievable, you CAN change your life and change the misconceptions on what you think is true.

My coaching style is friendly, calm, relaxed and fun (we can’t take everything so seriously in life!). I use this environment to really empower and support my clients who are scared of taking action, are unsure of what they want or who they are in life and want to make a change but they don’t know how yet.
